Teancha 3Nen Bancha Tea

I’m not even sure if I’m writing out the name right, it’s a Japanese site.

Macrobiotic tea. Yeah, I’m serious. This tea is made out of tea trees not cut for 3 years. Then they smoke the leaves I think and you get a weird smokey tea. It tastes like roasted grains, maybe corn or barley. I’m sure there’s some sort of super health benefit to bancha tea since it’s in our office, yet as usual nobody to explain.

When looking up Bancha I get “It is considered to be the lowest grade of green tea”. Maybe we have some peasants here? hah. I’m thinking it has to do with diet myself.
