So I wandered over to the farmers market on Saturday. I wanted to do a stir fry and see what was up with the produce this week. It’s getting cooler and the harvest is changing. Picked up a lot of regulars and then I found this. It wasn’t marked so I actually had to ask a friend. Hey, it was a dollar, I was up for it. Turns out I had some Chinese broccoli, or Kai-lan which is perfect since I was planning a stir fry.
This is traditionally cooked in hot oil with garlic or steamed and paired with oyster sauce. I cooked it in oil and garlic and paired it with fresh garlic noodles. SO good.
