Who do you turn to when you need something tried and true, something that you know will work, even if you half-ass the recipe? Well, Dreena is top on my list. She is so very awesome, and man her recipes really kick some butt.
So yep, I decided to make her recipe for snickerdoodles, or in this case,Â Snifferdoodles. I was tempted to roll them in maple sugar because I had some but kept it traditional with cinnamon sugar and put extra on top. They of course turned out great. I ended up using the last of my spelt flour for these and I have no regrets. I didn’t really measure my cinnamon in the cookies so they got a bit dark. But so delicious. You can NOT tell that these have alternative flour in them. They are crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside with no weird texture or tastes. A spot on cookie for sure.
