Cookies! I’m going to do 30 days of awesome cookies. A few personal recipes but mostly just awesome looking treats I find on the web or in cookbooks. I also don’t really talk much about myself or anything about my life so I’m going to try to branch out… while eating cookies. Fun fact number 1: I love cookies and cookie monster is my fave sesame street character. Because, duh!
Today is day 1. What did I make? I busted out Isa Does It and made Jumbo Oatmeal Raisin Cookies.
Obviously not the cookie I am modeling in the photo, sorry about that. My hair is also more orange today, so there’s that. Anyway: cookies. I’ve been having an oatmeal raisin craving for weeks now. I’m fine with eating oatmeal with cinnamon and raisins but cookies are total comfort food.
This recipe was pretty darn easy, but not as jumbo as I thought they would be. I did split it up unto 10 cookies that it called for as the serving size and they were not as big as my “big” cookies. I used jumbo raisins though! I say they are quite average yet quite tasty. I have to say I won’t be sad when I’m done with these jumbo raisins. They are pretty huge and kind of a pain to eat. Like, too much sweetness in the one bite. I’m just conditioned to regular sized or currants if I want something tiny, maybe it’s a mental thing? Who knows, but if you have the book, make these!
