I’ve never heard of this type of treat called a Chocolate Crackle, but let’s just chalk that up to a regional thing. When I saw the photo I knew I wanted to make these, however I rarely have Rice Krispies (or whatever other version) in my cupboard. So I waited until I had something that would work, and that sub happened to be puffed rice. Yum.
Since puffed rice is quite a bit bigger than the regular cereal used, I made them in regular sized muffin tins. So very good. The coconut flavour is obviously very prominent and they really do need to be kept in the fridge, at least with the weather we have been having. A tasty easy treat though and I didn’t even have to turn on my oven.
