I’ve been dreaming of these Dreamy Chocolate Scones for a while. They just looked so perfect. I made mini scones because I like to eat 2 instead of one big one some days. You know, perceived volume.
As for substitutions margarine was pretty easy for the butter and I used the full volume of all-purpose flour. I ditched the egg completely but decided on chocolate almond milk instead of regular. I had to add a bit more since there was no egg but it all worked out. Were they light and dreamy? Yep. Turned out great. They are so very tasty warm, I highly recommend them.
