Peanut and Pretzel Bark Recipe #SundaySupper

Peanut Pretzel BarkThis weeks theme is reflections and resolutions. Most people are gearing up for their resolutions or just so very tired of the holiday. I don’t make new years resolutions to be honest. However, I do love chocolate at any time of the year. If I had to make a resolution it would be “keep it simple”.

Peanut Pretzel Bark-2Instead of spending a lot of time coming up with a fancy recipe I decided to make a very quick and easy one so that I can maximize my time on the couch with my video games when I’m not working (which has been like 2 days, woo). Peanut and Pretzel bark is so very easy and I always have the ingredients on hand because I live with a pretzel fiend. Of course you can switch up the nuts but I love peanuts and pretzels together. 

Peanut and Pretzel Bark


  • 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate
  • 3 ounces dry roasted peanuts chopped
  • 3 ounces pretzels chopped


  • While the chocolate is melting, cover a baking sheet with parchment, waxed paper or a silpat liner. Stir the peanuts and pretzels into the melted chocolate. Quickly spread into paper-lined cookie sheet. Harden in the refrigerator. Break into pieces and store in an airtight container.

  2. This is the perfect simple dessert. I’m going simple this year too. We had a dinner party last night and I would normally go all-out for the meal and dessert. But I kept it simple and had some pine nut brittle that I served with ginger gelato. It was perfect. Having this bark on hand would be perfect too! Have a wonderful, simple, New Year!
