The Bread Bakers Apprentice: Stollen

stollenAh stollen. Not a very popular bread around here, I blame it on the candied fruit. It’s kind of seasonal and honestly in SF we don’t have seasons, but we do have candied fruit!

stollen-2So there was nothing really stopping me from the stollen recipe. Almond milk for the dairy milk, I ended up skipping the egg and added more margarine instead. It turned out great honestly.

stollen-3The dough was really easy to work with. I was pretty happy with the whole experience. I might make this again closer to the holidays!
