I have a lemon tree, I don’t think I could legally get out of something lemon flavoured in this challenge. However, most lemon frozen confections are sorbets and honestly I find them too tart or icy. I wanted an ice cream, couldn’t find one in any of my books so I turned to A Calculated Whisk for a super easy recipe.
I couldn’t wait to try it which is why it is so soft looking in the photos. It did firm up a bit but it stayed softer and not even close to being icy. I used fresh lemons of course but I also added limoncello since I figured it was a perfect application. And it was. It kept everything smooth and creamy. Think of an orange creamsicle and replace the orange with sweet lemon. Yeah. Total summer perfection. Not icy at all and just refreshing.
