I don’t know if the husband’s favourite food is ice cream or pretzels. It depends on his mood but I think they might tie for his favourite foods. Not a bad thing. So, why not just put pretzels in ice cream? It isn’t new of course, but when I saw the recipe for Salted Caramel Pretzel Ice Cream over at Chef Chloe’s blog I figured it should make the MoFo cut. Ice cream and pretzels are made even better with caramel and chocolate. Done!
This recipe makes quite a bit. I halved it and it still didn’t fit into a pint, I had a lot of excess to eat right away. It might have been the pretzel measurements that just made the volume a lot more. No problem, both out of the maker and the container it was pretty nice. I’m not one for salty in my sweet and I even enjoyed the photo scoop!
