I had some heirloom tomatoes that were super ripe so a salad was in order. For my last recipe from Good Good Things I opted for the Tomato and Garlic Crouton Salad. I love these Italian bread salads, plus anything that pairs basil and garlic with tomatoes works in my book.
I kind of made it as written I guess. I had a leftover hot dog bun (why don’t the buns match the hot dog counts?) so I used that for my croutons. As I said the heirloom tomatoes are in their prime and the olive oil and balsamic vinegar just brings out the flavours. Perfect hot weather eats.
