I don’t know, but when someone asks me what my baking specialty is I generally tell them cookies. Yeah, cookies. I make a ton, I don’t have a lot of flops anymore (except the granola cookie recipe I’ve been trying to sort out, so not ready for prime time) and I love sharing them. I’d love to have a special thing in my repertoire but until then I’ll just keep on talking about cookies.
So after the brownies I searched Angela’s blog and found a recipe for Crispy Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies. Gluten-free cookies can be rough, but they kind of looked like my recipe with brown sugar so I couldn’t resist. Add some peanut butter? Hell yes.
So very good. Please note if you are making these for true gluten-free people, ASK them if they can eat oats, and seriously if they can eat oats go out of your way and get gluten-free oats. Most oats are tainted and you don’t want to poison your friends. I made enough to share but the husband said I couldn’t! He rarely sniffles when something leaves the house but I was forbidden to take the batch to work. So yes, I’m feeling a bit sick since I can’t stop eating these damn cookies. I love the peanut butter in them and now even with a stomach ache I’m considering a new batch. Arg!
Those cookies are beautiful! Thankfully, I don’t have any problems with gluten, but I have a sister and a cousin with Celiac that I can share the recipe with. 🙂 Thanks for posting!
