What a great recipe! And love the tip on the apple cider vinegar helping to taste like buttermilk!

Your waffles look amazing! I haven’t had waffles in forever. I don’t know if it is my waffle maker or my recipe, but it never turns out. I have to give your recipe a try!!

I could eat waffles at any time of day too. I love making a giant batch, keeping them the fridge or freezer and throwing them into the toaster. Yum! These look great. I love that you posted a vegan alternative to the regular waffle recipes.

That’s exactly what I do! I love them extra crispy from the toaster, I tend to just hold them in my hand to eat them. My favourite way.

Yum, I need to add these to my Vegan Before 6 breakfast rotation! I have to admit, I’m getting pretty tired of museli and almond milk….

I hear ya. I was on a 2 month long muesli & almond milk kick. I think I’m WAY off that. I needed a break.

There’s nothing better than a good classic waffle recipe! These look like the perfect combo of crispy and fluffy!

I never thought of the vegan alternative for buttermilk before but it sounds great! I bet the cornstarch keeps them nice and puffy too!

We used to make these in college with soy milk stolen from the caf ;-). Tried and true!

I don’t eat waffles often, and I must confess, I’ve never thought about whether or not they are “vegan”, but since I do watch what I eat, thanks for sharing this recipe!

You know, I have one of those all-in-one grill things, and I have yet to use the waffle grates … looks as if I need to get them out and give ‘em a whirl!

These were awesome! I subbed in molasses for the maple syrup, and did one part white flour to two parts rye flour, creating an almost gingerbready flavour. I will definitely be using this as a base for other experiments!

Oh, that sounds awesome. I have a love affair with molasses, this sounds right up my alley!
