Yep. I went there. Well, Marlene went there and I knew I could make her S’mores Bars vegan. Total inspiration. Especially when you have a bag of Dandies sitting in your pantry waiting to be used.
I halved the recipe and used an 8×8 pan. I should have used my 9×9 because the only issue I had with these is that the graham layer was too thick. Substitutions? Margarine, dark chocolate and of course dandies instead of regular marshmallows. The dandies browned so nicely and it took what seems forever for the chocolate to set enough to cut them. They were a great snack to share and I’ll be making them again, just with a thinner crust.
