I’ve been eating banana “ice cream” for awhile, sometimes I just forget about it because ice cream isn’t something I crave. That’s the husband’s vice. I have a ton of bananas right now so when I saw this recipe for No Bake Frosty Chocolate Banana Cream Cups I thought it was a cool twist on the banana ice cream schtick. Bananas and chocolate? Duh.
It was tasty. However, I didn’t love the raisins. If I make this again (or you do) I highly suggest dates for the dried fruit of choice. It just tasted weird with the raisins. My vanilla is quite strong and my “ice cream” always turns kind of brown so sorry for that, plus I added some brown sugar since it was out on the counter and my bananas were not super ripe. It would also be good with a bit of chocolate chips mixed in the banana mixture.
