Almond Joy Cake? Sounds perfect! I obviously didn’t have a perfect execution. The cake? It was okay. I actually added some raw shredded coconut to the batter and that was a pretty good idea. The frosting? Let’s call it a flop. It was too liquidy honestly, even after cooling the melted chocolate in the fridge. So I added more powdered sugar. And then a bit more to get it less like ganache. And then I had a frosting that tasted so sugary my husband remarked it tasted like store bought canned icing. I personally call that a fail. The cake itself did taste better the next day when it softened up a bit.
