What I Ate Wednesday 8/8/2012

Happy Wednesday! I seem to have eaten a lot of little things today, which is pretty weird. I used to eat like this all the time, more grazing. Now I tend to just eat full meals with not many snacks. Started off the day with a green protein monster. I forgot to add the banana, which is probably what triggered all the eating honestly, It wasn’t bad at all, it just wasn’t condensed.

I got to work a bit later than usual, or late for the bagel run. That means the fruit salad was picked over already, but remember I had just had breakfast. Second breakfast was melon. I swear, the actual berries and pineapple go in about 30 seconds. Maybe they should get 2 bowls of fruit salad?

Oh beans, don’t they look tasty reheated? Ugh. Sorry about that. I still have to write a post about the beans I made but I’ll be eating them for a while. A few chips on the side. Broccoli for filler.

I needed something sweet after the beans so I had a peach. I remembered to bring one from home. You’d think that if you pay $500 bucks for peaches at Whole Foods they would rock. It was mealy though. Sucks to be me.

A few hours later I raided the work fruit stash. Found some nectarines! I had one while working on some number crunching. The Safeway nectarine was better than the Whole Foods peach. Go figure.

I didn’t need a protein bar to work out today since I had 30 grams of protein at breakfast, plus beans for lunch. I had a heaping tablespoon of hummus with baby carrots when I got in the door. And then I had a handful of peanuts. It’s really hard to remember to snap photos of handfuls of stuff. I felt like I was dieting. Heh.

Dinner was food truck time! Honestly my workout was rough and went an hour and a half. I was planning on making veggie meatball sandwiches but it was easier to stand in line for Indian food. It was okay, I’ll tell you about it Friday. I didn’t finish it.

But I did finish off the night with a little bowl of cherries. I always feel like a dork when I say “a bowl full of cherries”. Anyway, lots of fruit today. And lots of water. It’s been busy but it’s always good to be busy!
