Food Truck Friday: Curry Up Now

image

Hi! It’s Friday and I’ve been super busy. So busy in fact that lunches really don’t happen too often away from my desk. Go figure. The bonus is that there are a lot of food trucks in my hood, so at least some variation from brown bagging it all the time.

I’m not a huge food truck fan. I’m… difficult. It’s the vegetarian thing. I just don’t have a lot of trust. However, food trucks around here seem to get the “no, she doesn’t want chicken instead” so it’s all good.

The first food truck I hit up was Curry Up Now. I’ve been to their restaurant in San Mateo and it’s pretty awesome. I would have been all over the Sexy Fries if they were not sweet potato fries. Ugh. This trend needs to go away, I like good old fashioned white potato french fries. Anyway, I knew I loved the Hella’ Vegan burrito I had last time so I got that instead. It was still awesome, stuffed with chickpeas, samosa pieces, rice and just plain wonderful flavours. It was also very hefty so I didn’t finish it.

A+ for veggie friendly and a tasty food truck. Plus, they take cards, so if you don’t have cash it isn’t the end of the world!
