King Cake! I didn’t really want to lose my St. Louis tradition so I made a king cake here in California. Kittee has a brillant recipe and I stuck with the basics. Tried and true, plus, it is hard to find a vegan king cake recipe anyway. I thought about filling it with marmalade but I went with cinnamon sugar with the tofutti cream cheese. It pulled apart a bit but I just used a thicker icing to patch the hole and went on my way. That person gets extra icing, not telling where I hid the baby though! Turned out a bit dry, but hey, there’s lots of sugar!
