I don’t know what’s going on with my gut, but I have pears to use up and knew added sugar would be a bad option. Maybe if I had followed the actual Vegan Semi Sweet Pear Bar recipe over at So I Married A Vegan they would have been more to my liking. I just didn’t feel like making a puree. I tossed the pear slices with cinnamon and ginger which was a pretty good call. My pears were super ripe and super sweet on their own but it just didn’t translate for me┬átaste wise. This is mostly because I don’t love pears. The husband liked it but prefers some of the sweeter bars I’ve made in the past. I think these would make a very healthy and excellent breakfast. You know, if you like pears.
