These raw gingersnaps were really tasty and really really ugly. I found the recipe over on Raw Food Recipes and they looked pretty. I don’t know why I’m hung up on that since they taste really good but they are just ugly. I couldn’t get a stiff enough dough that wasn’t sticky to cut them out properly. I blame the maple syrup.

I’ve really been enjoying these raw desserts. I find them intense enough to be satisfied with 1 as opposed to baked goods when I just want more. I love really rich foods so this is a fun experiment. I’m not going raw but why not mix it in a bit?
