I think I finally found a way to enjoy pears! Â I didn’t think of strudel until I came upon this recipe at AllRecipes.com. It is so easy. I used Truvia as my sugar substitute of choice, and also used it in a cinnamon sugar mix for the top. I totally forgot the butter/margarine on top of the pastry and it didn’t matter, I still got a perfectly flaky crust. The pears were nice and sweet thanks to cooking them with Truvia. I made personal pastries so we didn’t have to share. I’m greedy like that.
