Oh yeah, these pastries are pretty good (according to the testers around here) from 500 Vegan Recipes. The dough was a bit of a bitch to work with, and I overworked it so it was tough. But dough with peanut butter in it? Yes please. And then peanut butter and jam on the inside? It is a duh move.
I only made half a batch since I’m trying to avoid sugar but the taste testers said these were good. I was told that they could use either more jam or they could be all peanut butter. Honestly, I think they could use a bit of both nutella and peanut butter with the peanut butter dough. But that’s just me thinking out loud. Since I made them rectangular instead of circular, it reminded me I want to make pop tart like treats soon. So yeah, maybe those will have something fun inside! If I can ever get my edges to seal properly. I’m blaming the spelt flour on this one.
