Apples start late summer, usually. As I’ve said before, I’m pretty excited to see different types of apples. I hadn’t heard of Gravenstein before, but they were really tasty. A blend of sweet and sour. I’m generally all about the sweet but the sour gave these a nice refreshing change. Wikipedia tells me they are Danish, so that’s also new to me. They kind of grow year round in the Bay Area which is neat. I can’t wait until fall apples hit though!
