Enter The Kettlebell Week 3 Update

Wow, this week was up and down. Monday and Tuesday I had great workouts. Felt good, even with my Turkish Get-ups. Thursday I had no appetite for working out and could barely move. Faked my way through, felt really bored and blah. I thought Friday would be better with TGU’s but it was actually one of my worst days. I dropped the kettlebell and since I wasn’t in a gym where the first lesson is to just get out of the way and drop it,  I had to catch it. So it grazed my head and I caught it and gave up.

I don’t know why I’ve seemed to have burnt out so quickly. This is the part I don’t like about RKC. The very high repetition I see with these programs. Swinging a kettlebell 20 times with a higher weight is far easier mentally for me than swinging it 50 times with a lighter weight. It is just…. boring.

I can get through 1 more week right? Then I start ladders, and thank goodness, different exercises. My weight came back down (I did weigh after the ice cream crawl which was pretty unfair to my body) and I think I’m seeing more definition in my shoulders. Who knows though. It is still a good workout, but boring as hell. Hope I can make it 12 weeks!

  1. I have never done kettlebells. I think it’s awesome that you are so open with the ways you are pushing your athleticism. Keep up the great work!
