Vietnamese Sandwiches at Lee’s Sandwiches

I was in the mood for a sandwich so I headed out to Lee’s Sandwiches. This is a Vietnamese joint but they have “European” sandwiches as well. I didn’t realize this was a big chain but the sandwiches are really good.

It is super easy to order. I mean hell, they have pictures. Hah! The bad part is that they have a ton of additional food to oggle when you go up to order. When you walk in you are greeted with all the yummy fried foods, but when you order they also have a ton of packaged sides.

I couldn’t help it and I added on the sticky rice. Everything is super cheap here! The sandwich and sticky rice were $5.00 total. They only take cash so be prepared! It was made quickly and everything was fresh, even the freshly baked baguette. I got the vegetarian sandwich which was fried tofu (crispy bits), vermicelli, bean curd, yam, carrot, house pickle, jalapeno, cilantro, salt & pepper and soy sauce. I pulled off the cilantro and dug in. It was awesome and only 260 calories (if that mattered). This will really be a staple for me. I’m excited to find it!
