Total impulse buy. How could I pass up a little baggie of shelled wonderful looking and huge English peas? I mean, the only work I had to do was pop them in some boiling water for a minute or two (or steam them, but I didn’t have a lid handy). I really don’t like peas in soup form but I love them with boiled potatoes, corn and a pat of margarine. Of course salt and pepper. It is a weird comfort food for me.
I always keep frozen peas around for adding to just about anything and of course injuries. Who needs an ice pack when you have a wonderful starchy veggie around! Add them to stews, salads, pasta, just about anything.
