I didn’t really think to find a bunch of California peaches this week at the farmers market but I did. Local peaches? Okay. I’ve kind of grown accustomed to midwestern and southern peaches but hey, I can be tempted by California. They had white and yellow this week and they smelled so fragrant. Nice and juicy and very very sweet. I was pleasantly suprised.
How do I use peaches? I love making coffee cakes and muffins with peaches. Cobblers and crisps are always staples. Especially when paired with blueberries and ginger. They are also pretty fab cut up into oatmeal and even cold cereal. Yum!
