I’m almost embarrassed to post this as a recipe. It is more of a “I want chocolate NOW, but I’m too civilized (this time) to eat chocolate chips directly out of the package”. Either way, it is awesome. Semi-sweet chocolate, nuts and raisins. Yup. That’s about it. If you can melt chocolate you can make this recipe! Change up the nuts or fruits to whatever you have on hand, but peanuts and raisins are classic! The husband has already claimed them stating that nobody out of this house gets one. “Make your own!” was muttered.
Chocolate Peanut Raisin Clusters
1/2 lb semi sweet chocolate
1/2 cup peanuts (I used salted and roasted for that sweet salty taste)
1/2 cup raisins
Melt chocolate in a double boiler or in the microwave. Let it sit a bit to cool so that it is easier to work.
Add the peanuts and raisins and mix well. Drop the mixture onto baking sheets covered with wax paper or a silpat.
Chill until set. I popped mine in the freezer because like I said, I wanted chocolate, NOW!
