One of my favourite places to eat pasta in St. Louis is Mangia Italiano. We don’t eat much Italian food anymore since it isn’t in the husbands top ten but I’m always excited to see their pastas at Whole Foods and other local eateries. I got this batch of Porcini Taglatelle in my CSA share. Yay!
Fresh pasta makes such a difference to a meal, even if it is pretty pricey. This taglatelle was paired with an arugula pesto that also came in my CSA. Unfortunately I found the pesto bitter and wasn’t in love with the basil sub. I much prefer basil to rocket. It’s just me. However, I added a bit of lemon pepper to save at least my serving. It really needs basil!
