I was probably the only one excited when I found local flour in my CSA one week. Honestly, I don’t know where to get Dry Dock Farm whole wheat flour besides Local Harvest, and even then they don’t sell it consistently. Maybe the farmers market? I don’t see a lot of local flour. Okay, I don’t see it at all, which is a shame. Fresh flour just makes things better.

I had plans to make bread with this pound of flour I got but I kept on incorporating it into other recipes. It is a really hearty whole wheat which is great in muffins and hearty cookies. I wish that local flour mills hadn’t been eaten up by commercial places. I do love my King Arthur Flour but it really is a shame. At least I got a taste of Missouri in some of my baked goods.
