I think I figured out that I’m not in love with orange flavour in non-sweets. I’ve had it in tofu glazes and marinades and I didn’t like it one bit. Of course it never really clicked until I made this salad that it was the orange flavour that wasn’t rocking my palette.
However, this carrot salad from The New Laurel’s Kitchen is pretty sweet with the raisins as well. I did finish most of it as it was a great change from other salads that I have been making. It is even great on top of salad! The nuts give it a crunchy texture but I don’t think 1/4 cup is enough. Or maybe that is just me being nut greedy.
