When I saw these on The Elizavegan‘s blog I knew that the husband would love them. I also brought some into work and they went over quite well. I always forget how well chocolate and orange play together. They were honestly a bit dry but that could be because I made mini muffins and got the timing a bit off. I think they would do well warm with a pat of margarine.
I’m not sure the whole wheat pastry flour was the best choice for these mind you. I think they would be a bit more tender with all purpose, which is weird. I don’t know, they kind of compacted possibly from the acidity of the orange juice? I don’t know, but the husband asked these to be put into regular rotation. That’s an A+ from him so obviously the texture is me being nit-picky!
