Jam Thumbprint Cookies

I always forget that Jam Thumbprint cookies don’t really spread, and I always make them tall. Oh well. I got around to the Healthy Homestyle Desserts recipe. I of course veganized it with tofutti cream cheeze and margarine. I’ve never had nuts in thumbprint cookies and it was a nice change. I opted for almonds rather than walnuts. The fillings are my homemade apple butter and cranberry jam. I really preferred the cranberry jam, but that’s just me. The husband was suprised they were so sweet.

Excuse the dark and dreary photo. It was raining and these have whole wheat flour. Not sure I would make this recipe again, but it was good to try out!
