I fully admit this can be a bit of a boring slaw. But, I make it all the time. Why? I use it as a base for a lot of things. I can doctor up the slaw with different veggies, or use it as a base for my protein of choice and it is an easy side since it keeps well for a few days just sitting there, doing its thing. Buy pre-shredded cabbage and it is too easy it hurts.

No Sugar Asian Slaw
serves 4

2 Cups Cabbage, fresh and shredded
1 Cup Carrots, raw and optional
3 Tbsp Unseasoned rice vinegar
1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
1 Tbsp Ginger, ground
1 Packet of Truvia or other sweetener. I actually use half.

Mix all the ingredients and chill for a few hours. Gets better over time. Add some sesame seeds for a little kick. Don’t be afraid of adding hot sauce either, I generally add some chili oil.
